Base layer (laminated boards)

Laminated floor boards have a base layer made of high quality Russian birch plywood. The base layer consists of 8 or 11 layers of peeled veneer, with mutually perpendicular arrangement of wood fibres in the adjacent layers. Slovpol Wood uses laminated boards with 11mm or 15 mm-thick birch plywood.

The top layer is connected to the base layer using a PVAc glue with a hardener, cold pressed.
